I've always been basically indifferent to Rush's music, but this was a great interview. You've really got to respect the drive to play 4 sets in a night and then go to the studio after.
So here's my problem with Chelsea Handler's standup: In Uganda Be Kidding Me she says that her dad has come out as gay in the nursing home and she shows a photo of him having sex with other old men that he supposedly texted her. Wow, that's a pretty crazy situation and its shocking and brave that she would talk about…
Oops.
He stepped away from the computer, hands shaking. Cold sweat dripped down his sides as he paced a circuit around the room gesturing and talking out loud. "I'll beat them all" he said. "One by one." "A Christmas song I hate? How about that one with all the birds and junk. I heard part of it while standing in line at the grocery store last week. Let's do this interview!"
Watched Dr. Strangelove in art class. It was split over two days. I didn't realize it was a comedy until the second day.
I re-watched this episode recently and was surprised how subtly subversive it is. Bart excitedly asking if he can ride along on evictions is a good example.
As I handed the flannel-clad teenager a slice of pizza, she said
