i think pilot jones and monk are both awesome tracks. more importantly, they have distinct feelings and moods, whereas every track on this album sounds the same to me.

i found this album to be sort of overlong and dull, not enough variety, especially compared to channel orange. maybe i'll like it more after a few spins.

Life of the World is just so samey. There are a few good tracks but overall it's just his most mellow, low key album. I totally agree about All Eternals Deck, I think it's his most underrated album, and most of the songs are almost… menacing in a weird way.

i would argue "house -tinged" is a perfect description. those elements are there, they're just really, really subtle.
