And it would still be better than Phantom Menace

Tom Bodett? He'll leave the light on for you.

And Die Hard

I recently finished Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer, and really enjoyed it as a travel narrative inside an acid trip. I'm about half-way through the follow-up, Authority, which I thought I'd enjoy just as much, but am finding I'm slogging through it. Hopefully it picks up soon.

I use Pocket Casts. It's a nice little program.

While I agree quite a bit with what you're saying - the old school Who companions staying with the Doctor 24/7 was much more fun for me - keep in mind that one possible reason for this is that the show operated on a very small budget. To build a semi-permanent set that operated as a companion's flat or even workplace

With the success of the Kickstarter campaign, I hope the Reading Rainbow reboot is dark and gritty…

You forgot one part of the schedule:

I would actually love it if the AV Club gave one no-name band (no offense, dude) a chance to do a cover. Talk about a cool way to get some exposure.

Give it one more shot, but this time watch it with the Roger Ebert commentary track. He dissects the film scene-by-scene, which sounds boring, but he makes it fascinating. I can just about guarantee you'll come away with a much better understanding and appreciation for the film. I know I did.

I can't back this up with a source, but I remember reading somewhere on the internet back when Hannibal (the novel) came out, that Harris was sick of everyone actually liking Lecter thanks to Hopkins' performance. He said the teeth had been removed from his greatest madman, and so he wrote Hannibal in response to

As the Hand of the King, I'm sure Tywin would happily take his grandson's place until Tommen is of age (meaning he'll also die an early death).

With everyone else I understand, but when it comes to notorious killers, even in real life we have a tendency to use their full names - John Wayne Gacy, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Wilkes Booth, Mark David Chapman, James Earl Ray, John Hinckley, Jr. I'm sure there are more examples I'm just not thinking of right now.

I thought he was egging them on, hoping maybe they'd shove him in the equivalent of solitary confinement or something. Will said that he'd pretty much guaranteed Abel would be killed when he requested Abel be moved next to his cell. The last thing Hannibal wants is for Will and Abel to start talking, because then

A person can like both apples and oranges…

So I'm not alone in thinking Tina Fey as a tough, uniformed Russian prison guard is kinda hot, right? Right?

That looks like one of the stop-motion creatures from Life Aquatic.

I mourned when Elizabeth Sladen died, so when "my Doctor" actually goes, that will truly be the end of an era for me.

Um, the statue is going to be in Champaign, Illinois, part of the twin cities of Champaign and Urbana, where Ebert grew up. So, your pointless internet rant is invalid.
