Pretty cranky review for what I thought was a pretty decent episode. While a little middling at points, it was great to see Arya get some momentum, finally seen Uncle Benjen, and despite feeling like filler - Dany's bloodrider speech was killer.

Sansa is a late blooming Ravenclaw. Jon is a total Hufflepuff. Margery is a Slytherin Prefect.
VERY disappointed there was no violence with the Sparrow and his faith militant (we're just calling them that now?) - but I am not convinced it isn't off the table before the end of the season.
Isn't the tree on fire now thanks to the Child of the Forest with the most lines of dialogue? If Hodor holds that door well, most of them should be burned up and then Meera just has to kill a few who catch up.
So the big Episode 8 or 9 this season needs to be the battle for Winterfell right? ? Do you think Rickon still has his junk or do you think Ramsey has cut them off by now?
Also, if I am not mistaken, that was Dragonglass that made the Night King in the flashback scene so… more on the properties of Dragonglass would be real helpful right now.
Makes sense. I just am curious why the children weren't fighting using the dragonglass weapons.
Random Thoughts:
Just caught up, here are my off the cuff thoughts:
Showtime usually runs their shows into the ground - Weeds and Dexter being the two biggest offenders. Unfortunately, I think this one started a little underground as it was.
Please explain to me how Tyrion had any negotiating powers with the slavers? I thought slavery was already returning to their cities & there is no way to measure support of Sons of the Harpy. Now they are supposed to agree to his terms just to stop some fighting? Are the slaver cities occupied by the Unsullied?
The comic is fine. the headlines are not.
who are these people? I want them to know I don't care for them.
Season 2 was SO good!! but what is this?
Agreed, but I spend all that emotion on Shireen. Poor poor Shireen…. thinking about that scene still messes me up.
Is that baloney in your slacks or you just happy to watch Animaniacs?
Sounds about right.
Look up "Animaniacs fingerprints" on YouTube. How that joke got on the air is still amazing to me.
I broke up with Weezer sometime around Make Believe and never looked back. But now I am feeling lonely, thinking about the good times, and wondering if I should answer this call.
Whatever- while season 5 wasn't the shows best, it was still head & shoulders above most other television. They do need to start delivering on a few promises (maybe winter will finally come), but damn if I am not excited.
