Wolf Blitzer? Sarah Palin?

Iran? North Korea?

Her cookbooks are seriously titled "Bible" and "New Testament?!" Ugh…

I believe his daughter was originally supposed to star, but was replaced by Q. Wallis for reasons I can't remember and am too lazy to look up.

Who goes to the Super Bowl with their mailman?!

Spoiler alert: Season 3 is when the murder inspiration begins.

It inspired me to go to law school at the University of American Samoa.

This trilogy is all I've read of him, so I'd suggest starting with the first book The Blade Itself. That one doesn't stand alone on its own all that well, but as I said above, it steadily improves. I hear it also gives some extra context for the stand-alone novels, since they're all set in the same world.

I finished Joe Abercrombie's First Law trilogy, which I really enjoyed. It's the rare fantasy series that actually gets better with each installment and never overstays its welcome. It seems like the ending is somewhat polarizing, but I thought it was pretty clever and subversive.

It's a perfectly serviceable page-turner, but the '80s nostalgia thing wears thin pretty soon. It does bring up some interesting ideas about how we prefer a virtual world to a real one, but that never really goes anywhere.

If you enjoy China Mieville weirdness, try Perdido Street Station next. It's an absolutely brilliant explosion of unfathomable weirdness. It's definitely not for everyone, but sounds like it would be up your alley.

I'm about a third of the way through it, and am digging it so far. Glad to hear it maintains that level of quality. And as a Jew, I've been on the "Christmas is evil" bandwagon for years, so I really like that aspect of the story.

To Catch a Thief Jolie-Pitt

Clearly they just wanted to pay tribute to America's most beautiful region, the Pacific Northwest. As a lifelong Seattleite, I wholeheartedly approve.

I was having a conversation about that with friends recently - are people allowed to use symbols in baby names? Like there has to be a kid out there somewhere named #David or whatever, right?

Jay Leno, then. What's wrong with people?

So this is what it sounds like…when doves cry.

That's what it looked like to me, although I was watching live (and sans DVR) so I didn't have a chance to pause it.
