    Rewatched The Virgin Suicides recently. It's still a brilliant film. Though I think it helps that I am both a fan of Jeffrey Eugenides and Air.

    True- I pretty much gave up when all I could taste was baby vomit. Almost as bad as the time when I brewer tried to convince me that the beer with an obvious acetic inflection was "supposed to taste that way".

    I always saw it as the companion book to the series- not In Search Of Perfection but Kitchen Chemistry. The way Heston explains the underlying chemical reactions to food and cooking is what really kicked off my interest in cooking.

    Meanwhile in Ireland the NEIPA fad continues. No one has produced a too-style version yet though Rascal's Foggy Juice has come very close. Even the BrewDog/Cloudwater collab V2 wasn't right (I blame BrewDog, Cloudwater can usually do this style in their sleep).
