I think it mostly felt dated because John Carter referred to all of the Martians as "darkies."

It's actually the Tiger Mom behind the door. The protagonist opens it, and Tiger Mom yells at him for not taking his piano lessons seriously.

It was also wonderful reminscent of their "Jeff's dumb, gay dad" tete-a-tete in the episode with Pierce in the hospital. I love it when Jeff and Britta argue.

Little Maddyson Nevaeh just loves it when the drunken, shirtless meth-heads come out of their trailers and scream at the police. Reminds her of daddy! She always asks, "When will the police come for Daddy again?" I do love toddlers!

She and Troy have both had complete revamps since the first few episodes, and now they're two of the most consistently hilarious characters on the show. The writers are really playing to the actors' strengths. Smart writers!
