Legos led many a valiant attack against my bare feet by hiding in the trenches of the carpet. Ow ow ow.

Hermes as Inspector One (with Bender shown as a baby robot) retconned some of the Bender backstory given in earlier episodes. There was a particularly good gag showing Bender on an assembly line being born (looking the way he always does), educated, and getting his diploma within a few seconds early in the series. I

I'm at the office, so I had to watch with the sound off. Obscured nudity plus lots of eyebrow-acting from Depp. Not sure if that's an equation for success, but I'll be buying a ticket.

It's like Anthony Hopkins in Red Dragon, only believable.

I was a big BSC fan too. What Genevieve wrote about outgrowing the characters once you hit their age group was also true of that series. I probably read 100 BSC books (including all of their mysteries and character autobiography books… lord, those were particularly lame), but by the time I hit 13 or so, I jumped ship

YAWW BEW-TIFUL!!

The call is coming from WALGREEN'S AUTOMATED PRESCRIPTION PICK-UP LINE!!!!

Splice was terrible, but I enjoyed it (well, minus the rapey stuff). The science expo that turns into a shower of creature blood was inspired.

Random nostalgia: My high school friends and I would quietly 'sing' along to that high pitched chainsaw noise that's repeated throughout the trailer. Mrrrrrrrppp!

Alvie was a neurotic mess, but so was Annie. Whenever she's mentioned as a Manic Pixie Dream Girl type, I wonder if the critic even saw the movie in the first place.

Finally, a review for this book! I'd been using Google to see if I could find anything about whether Low Town was worth reading, but if you enter keywords like "Polansky," "crime," and "children defiled" into the search engine, you just get a bunch of unrelated shit.

I liked it better when it was 28 Days Later.

Rise of the Planet of the Germans, based on a true story.

I'm tired of all these motherfuckin' snakes on my motherfuckin' ladders!

It was the first one. The new one has some Bloody Mary action.

The Last Exorcism: For Reals This Time.

Horsefellow? I assume he tihnks i'ts prety graet.

Ancient? She was only 27. I guess drug years are kind of like dog years.

God: "You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here."

After the setting-up phase, it takes less effort to be signed up to post than to be anonymous and posting. Posting the captchas for every comment was always more of a bitch to me than the every-week-and-a-half-or-two that I'd have to resign in my screen name.
