I didn't know that the director of Twilight directed this as well until this review, but all of the commercials/trailers make this movie look like a Twilight cash-in. The special effects even have that same cheap look that Twilight's have.

I don't get how film directors keep getting this story so wrong. It's not a stuffy period piece love story. The novel is JUICY if you focus on the gothic elements — the blood red bed chamber of Jane's childhood breakdown, the maybe/maybe not ghosts within it, the ghoulish secret wife who haunts the halls of Jane's new…

I haven't read any Coben, but I love Tell No One. I think the film beautifully directed, beautifully acted; Matthieu Chedid's score is one of my all-time favorites, but… I'm not so sure that the conspiracy theory unravels so successfully at the end.

I had The Tenant and The Landlord confused in my head. I haven't seen The Landlord, but it sounds pretty interesting.

I remember that Miramax movie "O" was shelved for a few years. The hysteria over violence in the media after Columbine put a damper on that cute little high school Othello reimagining.
