I think part of his charm comes from the fact that he was a big fuck up and he knew it.

Excellent little documentary. Especially good are the DVD extras of Steve Earle and company hanging around the kitchen drinking whiskey and singing songs. Also great is the scene of Townes Van Zandt getting his royalty check in front of his girlfriend. It's like $175. They are not happy.

He does a good little silent movie kind of comedy routine with a copy machine and a sandwich.
