Santa Cruz is weird.
In 1972 Santa Cruz had the nickname "Murder Capitol of the World" because of a spate of killings. There were three serial killers active at one point. Ed Kemper is the most famous.
I used to think she was one of the cool lesbians. She hung out with MDC in San Francisco in the 80's. She was (and still is) a folkie, but she used to do some punk rock too.
