In regards to the special effects
They were as cheesy then as they are now. Buy, hey, it's just a movie.

They would play this during the summer at my junior high school, on film.
And I went to see it two summers in a row. Good stuff.

I remember him towards the end of his career
He seemed a thoughtful and articulate presence. He was intelligent and no nonsense. 92 is not a bad age to pass away. He lived a long and good life.
