These guys creep me out
The music isn't half bad, though. I think I've heard a cover of every one of these songs by someone else. I remember Johnny Cash singing "Wreck on the Highway", a brief version, on the Tonight Show.

I liked it.
Sometimes not all that funny, but it was a good effort.

One of my favorite Belushi bits was his commercial for little chocolate donuts. Love the footage of him winning the Olympic 500 meter.

The scene I remember from this movie…
is the exploding refrigerator. It was all slow motion and stuff.

Junkies, and druggies in general, do irrational things when they are needing. Jane was beginning to lose her rational side when she started using again. Once she found out about the big bundle of cash, her old junkie self truly re-emerged. Her scheme was a desperate gamble. She played her hand too hard.

Some nice touches
I like that The Pin's mom serves everyone milk and cookies. Also, kinda cool when the lead character is running from an adversary, rounds a corner, and trips the chaser who then runs head first into a steel pole. There's an extended "kooonggggggggg…." sound that slowly fades. Good stuff.

I like what Miles said
"So, you guys have thought this thing through?".
Er, um, …

X and "Ain't Love Grand?"
Written while John Doe and Exene were going through a divorce. That song "Fourth of July" is pretty sad.

This is terribly depressing…
The silver lining is that the Decider site is still up.

Dammit, I've confused him with Waylon Jenniings, again. (Sign of loser on forehead.)

Is "Okie from Muskogee" really meant to be taken ironically?
It seems pretty straightforward. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, either. Also, did he have long hair when he wrote that or did that come later?

"Some Velvet Morning" is okay.

Honestly, I think there's more to this town than hippies and gays. Also, I just like my space a little.

Just because a guy is gay doesn't mean he's a stinking hippie
It's just that being a hippie is kind of, you know, gay.

House of Nanking
3rd best chinese food in SF.

Simpsons postage stamps?
When will this happen?

David Allan Coe
and the best country and western song ever:

"Ghost Riders in the Sky"
Yippee Yai Yay! Yippee Yai Yo!

He could turn a phrase like no other
I had an argument with a guy who kept claiming that Johnny Cash was folk, not country. Johnny Cash transcended all of that. Just about every song he sang he made his own. He was a country singer, though, not a folkie.

Loved the "Cabinet of Dr. Caligari"
Pylon was always a footnote for me, but sorry hear of Mr. Bewley's demise. I hear that Pylon was a big part of the Athen's scene. Good group, that.
