I think him covering for his friend isn't much of a stretch. He (Bodie) was willing to talk to the cops; he doesn't know if his friend is. So he's not going to introduce his friend's name and put him in the same situation he currently finds himself in, because ultimately, fuck the police.

It would make a lot of sense that they are critical to the endgame in the books because Book Doran had such a grand plan and he has dispatched them all over the continent. How could an imposter Sand Snake in The Citadel NOT be critical? Likewise for one infiltrating the faith.

Alison has always been my gut choice, but she's also the most obvious. I think that silencing Scotty over the baby is a pretty strong motive, and its super interesting that DNA is in play.

I thought this episode was pretty good, to be honest. There was a huge info dump (several, actually), but none of it fell too forced. We finally have a hard target for the "other" stuff going on and any kind of semi-occultish shenanigans that might feature in the resolution.

This is exactly right.

I understand. What I'm saying is that for me, the episode ranked alongside some of the best.

This was a solid A range episode for me. Probably an A-, but still. The jokes were great and plentiful and the concept was fantastic. I guess I don't understand the B.

No, there will be plenty of WW action in season 3. For one, that last shot means that they be showing [SPOILERS!] the battle at the Fist, and then, separately, we'll get Sam's encounter. I think all of that will be next season.

Why can't every scene on TV feature Charles Dance (Tywin) and Maisie Williams (Arya) staring at each other while talking about death and fairy tales?

Siham, yes the rat in bucket thing was silly. Well, not silly, because it was absolutely horrifying. But it was….contrived, I think.

"How come we didn't have Arya yelling Winterfell and Hot Pie yelling Hot Pie though? I really needed that."

insouciantingenue (and others), The Ironborn (at least, the Drowned Men among them) don't really "die," I think. They just temporarily drown and are revived with good ole CPR, or something very similar.

It's like some kind of fantasy number. It beat the premiere of Missing in the demo and beat basketball in both the demo AND total viewers.
