I took it as the end of Kid Loki as well. I'm honestly feeling like it might be the end of Marvel comics buying for me. I came to comics pretty late in life so I've just started to realize that no story in comics matters, no matter how well told, because the big corps (and, to be fair, many fans) refuse to allow

Bioshock really is the strongest answer to this question. The fact that someone has to clean the toilets and take away the trash is enough to make an Objectivist utopia impossible.

I'll add to the chorus of liking this review. I thought it was particularly good when you note that "Avant-garde is not a thematic element, it’s a design element. " That seemed to be a MAJOR stumbling block for the designers this week, but not one I noticed until you pointed it out.

The criticism of Eby wasn't (universally, at least) grounded in a complaints about her gender or race. Nor (for me, at least) was it about wanting her to be Teti. It was that she was turning in work that wasn't up to the standards readers have come to expect. It was lacking in wit and analysis and was often just a

Aurora Boreanaz I worked at PayPal during that era. It would be difficult to describe the level of unbelievable bullshit that went on there while Meg Whitman ran the company.  Even beyond the horrible treatment of customers, the business never stopped skirting right up to edge of every law. And that's to say nothing

You can see the same problem in Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" books. Goodkind was never shy about his misogyny (every book has some sort of subplot about the weakness of women and/or how women destroy powerful men), but as the series went on, his real life politics totally overwhelmed his characters to the point

So essentially you thought she was fine when she kept her mouth shut as he was saying hurtful, cruel things to her? Obviously she should have just kept quiet like a good girl huh?

This was less a trailer than a dire prophecy.

I had almost the exact same reaction. The rape is horrifying and Covenant is a real piece of crap at the start. And (let's be honest), he never exactly becomes a cuddly or pleasant individual.

If i recall correctly, there is a book of the art of the show written by the show's creators where they directly state that the Avatar is the avatar of the planet itself.

innocent passerby - It's nice to see a defense of Freud for once. I spent a lot of time reading him in the last year and it became apparent that many of the things I'd read about his work in the past were bullshit. His work presents a host of problems, but there's a lot of valuable insight there.
