My husband and I just realized that Princess is on the show. We used to watch her to do drag shows at the Joy in Omaha, NE. Her look now is a lot harder edged than it was then, but she's always been pretty great. Such a strange moment to see her on TV.

Rami is crazy hot. He can drape all he wants. I ain't about to kick him out of bed.

mmmmmmmmmm. Arpad.

Aisha Tyler proves true the wisest of all statements: "Girl, please. Nobody's that gay."

I had never heard Gotye before but I'm really loving that song. Stuck in my head.

"They would be killing and eating each other in no time." If you'd like to see Atlantis in action, go play the first Bioshock. One of the stated inspirations for Rapture (the setting of the game) is Ayn Rand. They wanted to explore what a community like that would actually end up like (Spoilers: It totally sucks!)

I also enjoyed the review. And Myles, while you may not share Teti's style, the line "there’s a suggestion that the Sucklord will impregnate Sarah by the end of the challenge (which would be the first successful creation process for the Sucklord thus far)" sure as hell got a Teti sized laugh out of me.

So you have bad taste, bad politics, and a failed firstie. It's a trifecta of suck. Congrats!

Something I didn't see in the comments (extensive as they are I could have missed it) was the sex/magic metaphor that Joss often spoke of and it's relationship to the empowerment of the Potentials.

This is exactly my criticism of the show.

The Unwritten is probably worth a look. You can pick up the first 4 in trade and I've found them very enjoyable. Don't expect much in the way of clarity on what's going on at first, but if you liked Fables or Sandman, it shouldn't be a problem.
And, of course, if you're just looking for super-fun books that sneak in

She's clearly had work, but I will say that she's always had those ears. I remember reading years ago that she always keeps her hair long and forward because she's always been self-conscious about her elf ears.

He's hot. So good for you.

I saw Weird Al when he played in Tucson this year. It was a mid-sized theater, totally sold out. Al (and the band) put on a hell of a show. There are Al TV clips that play while he switches costumes, but they were funny and didn't outstay their welcome. He performed for a solid 2 hours, played lots of great songs

If you love fun, Atomic Robo is a must read. Brains in jars making mechs for Nazis, Carl Sagan fighting an extra-dimensional monster, evil computers made by idiots! And Doctor Dinosaur. DOCTOR DINOSAUR!

I'm in exactly the same boat. Huge fan when I was young, not so much lately. But I listened to most of the album when it was up on NPR and I was pleasantly surprised. A lot of it was good. Her daughter actually has an interesting and lovely singing voice as well.

The break in writing these gives you an awesome opportunity to get the anti-depressants and restraints necessary to make it through "Appa's Lost Days" without doing yourself harm. Great episode, but incredibly upsetting for me. And don't even get me started on "Tales of Ba Sing Se." I'm tearing up just thinking about

**Vague book spoilers**

This was it for me and my husband. We've watched the show since the start and I just can't take it anymore. There were really good moments this season (most of them Pam related), but they were sandwiched between 45 minutes of "I don't give a shit" every week. And so much of the set-up this season required characters
