OK, you and El Zilcho make some good points that do actually make me feel better about the movie. I've shifted my anger to the makers of the trailer now, and that seems like a fine place for it to rest.

It looks great, but I'm having a hard time getting past the use of "Sing Sing Sing." I associate that song so strongly with the 1940s, swing dancing etc. I just looked it up, and it was written in 1936, apparently - almost a decade after the era this film begins in. I don't know, it just feels sloppy, like someone…
The same. They're so cute, with the big horns…. awwww. Yeah, I couldn't watch that.
Yes, La Pipe, I did!
Pern! I was just thinking about those books. My friends tease me when sci-fi/fantasy books get brought up for reading the series about "sex with dragons." I have to patiently re-explain that the characters don't have sex with dragons. They merely have sex with each other whenever their dragons mate. Duh.
I just found a bunch of my boyfriend's old Choose Your Own Adventure books. Best title we saw? "You Are A Shark."
I liked "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" a lot. And there's a recipe in there for a berry crumble that's delicious.
That's probably the twist ending.
I've never seen it. I thought I probably would someday, since it's a classic and everything, even though I don't really like war or violence in movies. But now I don't think I should… Everyone always talks about that "napalm" line, no one mentions a goat!
I was really interested in seeing this till I read about the sacrificial goat. No way I could watch that.
Were there ever any more in the Myth Adventures series after Gleep the dragon says "Skeeve" (or whatever the main character's name was - could his name really have been Skeeve???) and then collapses? I was worried about that dragon. Not necessarily because I thought the books were sooo good. It was partially as…
Yes, you go Glen Coco.
Eugene Victor Tooms, you are awesome and hilarious. In college my best friend and I watched X-files on DVD almost every night, and 6 years later (I'm one of the 1981s), we still bring up how creepy "Squeeze" and "Tooms" are. I can't wait to tell her about a Tooms reference…
1981. I was feeling old when I first started reading this thread, but, like others, started feeling better as I got further down.
Yes! I loved Howliday Inn! I still quote it for some reason - when Louise, a poodle who mixes up words, declares "You, sir, are sorely misshapen!"
Cuz it showed the Penguin saying he didn't care about the citizens of Gotham, and that he "played this city like a harp from hell!"
Hmmm, is it worth the drive from Wisconsin? Well, I shouldn't discount the possibility that I may acquire a private yet in the next two weeks…
Oh, I've heard of Greyhounds Only (I went thru Greyhound Pets of America - Wisconsin), nice. My girls could've raced your boy at one point, funny! Glad to hear he's calm. I have a two year old who barely raced, and she's a maniac, basically still a puppy.
Damn, that's awesome.
Claire's Dogs!
Claire, I love your taste in dogs. My mom has two Shelties, which I adore, and I have two greyhounds. Is yours an ex-racer? Mine both come from the track in Kenosha Wisconsin. Aren't they sweethearts?
