Not my intention! I just hate the idea that grad school is 100% misery the whole time. It's a lot of work, but if you prioritize a week's vacation (which I did prioritize, very highly), it can be done. (though like I said, I certainly could have been a better student)

When I was in grad school, I went to Amsterdam for spring break, two years in a row.  I took out slightly extra loan money to pay for it. Was I at the top of my class? No. But I graduated and everything. And now that I'm a real adult and paying my student loans back, I do not regret it at all.
