What a day. What a Superday.
Yeah, well, we wanted to use it to hang our laundry on the Siegfrid line, as the song goes. Didn't turn out so well.
I saw the french film first actually… But I'm French, so… It's quite good by the way.
I'll join the old people club. But the thing is, how old is that guy ? He looks like he is in his early thirties, my age then. But I'm only confused by him, as if he were a weird alien creature…
He has a "brand" of wine ? Having a brand of wine is already disgusting. But rosé on top of it… Eeeeeew. Probably the kind of stuff that gives you a headache and leaves you nauseous just by looking at it.
I am, and I really enjoy it !
My favourite arcs are basically the same as yours. Throughout the series I really appreciated the emphasis put on relationships. It might even seem a bit cheesy at times, but I like that all the different Robins have very defined personalities, with Dick Grayson playing big brother. That's the family stuff that keeps…
But wait… I thought only guys were allowed to read comics… I don't understand anything anymore !
I liked the Big Burn quite a bit actually. I thought it built up nuanced villains, which I always enjoy, even though the story was well known. I was more on the fence with volume 6, where I thought the art changing was indeed distracting.
Dante thought he was out of Hell… But when his faithful sidekick Virgil is kidnapped, he has to go back, one more time ! And this time it's personal…
Henry VIII probably. It's little known, but the king kept a diary detailing his dealings with eldritch creatures to whom he sacrificed his wives. The book was lost. Back in the 21st c., two boys investigate after their kindly archivist neighbour is murdered under weird circumstances, leaving only allusions to the lost…
This fear is quite fascinating. I think it gives the impression that it goes beyond the time and the weird upbringing. It seems almost pathological at times, and he doesn't seem to be proud of it.
Nice work. It might indeed be fun to teach alphabet to children with this. OK, class, repeat after me : Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.
He just needs to save his bacon now.
I think the solution boils down to this.
A less bulky suit would have been cool. Because, ashamed as I am to be the one to point it out, the ninja outfit was not only intimidating, it was also rather hot.
Good plan. It could work. I'll help… Well, I really have nothing. Uh… At least it sort of hides the ugly cat ?
I really enjoy the historical who's who from the XVIIth and XVIIIth c. so far, but once I'm done with the Baroque cycle, I think I'll give the SF novels a try. I really appreciate the pacing of his writing so far. I don't really know how to define it, especially since english isn't my first language, but I like that…
Currently reading : Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson. It's the first book by this author I read, and I find it quite fascinating and well written. If I were to read some of his other books, where should I start ?
