Why can't you do both ? I started reading grown-up stuff when I was 8, but it didn't keep me from reading more youth-oriented things at the same time. It's weird to think that it should be mutually exclusive.

Definitely. And while a commenter complained in this thread about the fight with Vader, I thought it was especially well done, slow like those nightmares where you can't move and everything you do has no effect whatsoever.
Speaking of, I kind of like the Kanan comic book. I especially like that Weisman really writes the character as a scared kid rather than an improbable hero.
Oooops, yeah, sorry. Weird spelling corrector thing.
No, Chronos is the Greek name for Saturn. Ouranos and Gaia gave birth to the Titans, Chronos and Rhea to the gods.
Roman mythology isn't ripped off wholesale from Greek mythology. It was a much more complicated process, and in many places Latin gods were only vaguely related to their Greek counterparts. Greek mythological stories were often used by poets though.
Thanks ! It's just the Latin version of the ancient Greek Ouranos, the sky.
Also leave the vodka alone. When it's a good one it's perfectly alright on its own.
Or the discussion between the writers and the production : "well, yes, you have characters, a basic plot… Yeah, it's functional."
Her enthusiasm is overwhelming.
I thought it was fun, and the art was fine. The whole rock star thing felt a little bit like it came out of nowhere, but still. I'll wait to see how the story develops.
Master and Margarita is an amazing book. I read it in one night as a teenager, just couldn't put it down. Try The White Guard next, it's awesome.
The Iron druid chronicles by Kevin Hearne are a series of extremely unassuming books that make use of pretty much any mythology available to the author. It's very much commuting fare, but it kept me entertained for some time.
I rarely cry while watching movies. I didn't make it ten minutes in front of this before I started sobbing uncontrollably.
If you can read french, this one, about writing a PhD, is pretty cool : Carnets de Thèse. http://www.amazon.fr/Carnet…èse-Tiphaine-Rivière/dp/2021125947/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434479864&sr=8-1&keywords=tiphaine+rivière. Her blog was called "le bureau 14 de la Sorbonne" and is awesome as well.
Hey, apparently Batman begins was ten years ago, so I'm entitled to the phrase 'young people'
Don't know if that helps, but young people where I live use "it's dar" to say it's awesome. Probably "rad" in reverse.
I like the fact that Damian was truly written as a kid (with an unusual history, sure, but still). Also some the few times Nightwing appeared, there was a really nice and grounded superhero character, which has become quite rare. The whole thing was quite refreshing and the art was awesome.
Same here. I really enjoyed Batman and Robin by Tomasi and Gleason.
Alas, in the case of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell I've read it way too many times for that advice to apply…
