I really didn't care for it. The characters (Damian in particular) often act in a jarring manner if you've read Morrison's run. Besides it's not really necessary to the overall story.

Watch the pilot (it's floating around) and get your hopes crushed.

The pilot was indeed pretty enjoyable. Much better anyway than another DC pilot which is also out there, the one for Constantine. That one was extremely bad. Like a pale copy of a mediocre Supernatural episode, with Dean talking with an english accent and having terrible hair dye. Anybody else see it ?

The art on Flash was absolutely wonderful. The first panels with the titles were especially nice. So the story was generic. But you sort of focused on the artwork.

There is also a really neat novel written in 1943 by Belgian author Jean Ray, called Malpertuis, although it's only about the greco-roman pantheon. There has been a film with Orson Welles but I haven't seen it. The novel creeped the hell out of me as a kid.

Really ? I actually like his writing (I'm not talking about the overall story or about the characters) much better than I like Martin's. Martin's style is efficient and gets the job done but to my mind it is rather flat, whereas I've always found Abercombie's writing a lot more fun, with much more irony and with every

The voice work is awesome when they're merged. I love the way the voice is more Luthor or more Brainiac depending on what he is saying.

I really like Flash in those episodes. He stops being the little brother, actually acts in a much more mature way than Superman.

As long as you don't stop to think about logic, and plot, and that sort of things. But I think the movie is aware of this and it gets to the point where it's hilarious.

I started reading Sandman. I really like Gaiman's novels, and rather enjoy the story here, but the art really irks me. Something just doesn't click. I've read about three volumes. Does the art change, or should I just drop the series ?

Actually in french glass is "verre" and in the original story the slipper was made of "vair", which is pronounced the same way and is some sort of rare squirrel fur. So your wink wink is justified.

I'm on the fence. It would be nice to have Ted Grant on the show, but I really don't want Laurel to become Canary.

It's a pity really. He was also very good in the TV movie Warriors.

Wait, he is Dreadnought Foster ? He is indeed badass, and a lot of fun to watch too, especially the exam part.

19 is the right age for that : that's often when you're at your most serious. Recently one of my students, by any means a nice kid, asked me for advice on his CV. In "personal interests" he had written that he loved Ayn Rand. I kindly pointed out that it might not be the best thing to put in one's CV. He'll just

Had the exact same reaction. I was very disappointed.

Mine too. The first word that comes to mind to describe it would be "delightful".

It's funny how prom seems to be such an important thing in pop culture. We don't have proms where I live. Just high school students congregating in one place and getting drunk. In some schools the seniors dress up on the last day of school, go disturb other classes and throw eggs and flour on younger students and

Wallace and Gromit. The curse of the were rabbit.
