In some corner of the multiverse, there is a universe that has a glee wherein the main characters are Kurt, Karofsky, Rachel, Santana, Brittney, Finn, Tina, and Mercedes. And all of them get equal screen time and interesting things to do. And all of the adults are gone, and have been replaced by Coach Taylor and Mrs.

Huh. Hasn't worked for me yet.

Yes, but Mr. Handlen sounds a lot more forgiving of the second half of the book series than I ever could be. I'm wondering about it from the perspective of someone like me, who felt like the last three books were almost a personal attack.

Shut your whore mouth.

Happy Birthday, LIB. May all your pop-culture related dreams come true. Except for the undoubtedly horrifying ones.

So, I have to ask: if I read the first three and loved the hell out of them, read the fourth and was ambivalent, then read the last three and hated them with a blinding and soul-consuming fury, is this one that is worth checking out? Or will it just make me sigh and remember how incredibly fucked up the last few books

Aw, I spotted Legend of Kage and Bucky O'Hare in there. Man, the days of bargain bin NES games. Never in my life will I find as much wonder in mediocre bullshit as I did in that period of my life.

My dad tried so, so hard to get me into soccer. As in, I had to play it for seven years. Unfortunately, we live in America, so that was doomed from the start. Rugby is pretty awesome, though. And not just because of the sex appeal factor. (But mostly for the sex appeal factor.)

My dad told twelve-year old me, who at the time enjoyed Degrassi and Invader Zim, that I should watch Daria. I expected it to be some bizarre fusion of the two. It was not what I expected.

I live in Austin and yeah, the Drafthouse is the best place in the entire world. Most people that go there are so aware of the etiquette that you rarely ever see someone get kicked out. The last place to get that "magical" experience, bar what some people have said about Drive-Ins.

If you have an Alamo Drafthouse in your city, I would absolutely recommend this. Their tickets are only like 50 cents more expensive - and for seven bucks you can get popcorn and drinks that have infinite refills.

Thanks so much for the recommendation, Tasha. I'll definitely have to check it out.

I'm pretty excited for this column, honestly. This book doesn't sound like it would interest me at all, but I would like to know about other good YA that comes out, like the Hunger Games, His Dark Materials (does that count?), etc.

He and Wolverine were such insane dickholes in the Children's Crusade (the first major 616 Marvel event that I've read since Civil War) that it might have spoiled me on the characters. Scarlet Witch, on the other hand, I found myself liking a lot more than I thought I would.

I really, really adored the Children's Crusade series. That said, I'm not sure if I can deal with another Marvel book where all the superheroes fight each other. I guess if I hear that the Young Avengers are featured more prominently in this book as well, then I might check it out. Otherwise, I'm a little bit tired of

That "like nickels?" line continues to be one of my favorite jokes in all of Joss Whedon-dom. Yeah, I know it's obvious and kind of dumb, but Andrew just sounds SO enthusiastic when he says it that I can't help but giggle like a crazy person.

Serious question - can anyone recommend me any other horror movies worth checking out? No freakin' torture porn, either. The last time I was referred to a "good horror movie" it was Wolf Creek. An unhappy boy was I.

I'll admit that I haven't been this excited for a movie in several years. Ye gods, but I have waited for a good horror movie to come out for a long time. I figured I'd have to wait until Guillermo del Toro decided to put another one out, but I guess Joss Whedon works just as well.

Eh. Watching this just reminded me that if Karofsky isn't involved, this show has a really hard time keeping my attention. I think I'll take a break until Karofsky shows up again, if he ever does. It's an especially tough sell since Tuesdays are my TV catch-up night, and watching Glee after Game of Thrones leaves a

Wow. What an asshole. Almost makes me feel less guilty for not sitting down and watching the Wire yet.
