Seriously! These were guys that had been popping pills in seedy German clubs for years! Smoking marijuana probably caused a significant reduction in darkness.

Jeffrey Dahmer didn't kill women. PLOT HOLE!

It almost certainly won't, for exactly that reason, but DAII is unequivocally my favourite game in the series because it's so much more interesting than another "save the world from a super dull ancient evil with no personality" plot.

Yeah, if I'm going to play as a cipher, I'd like to be a cipher who gets swept up in the story of the exciting characters around me, not a cipher that the entire story revolves around!

That's a bummer! The motion controls really clicked for me, but obviously if you can't get them working the game's just not going to come through for you.

I'll say this much: I think your edit is right and that you're about to find where you're supposed to go next!

"Master, my calculations show that there's an 88.5% chance you should be completing the 3DS remakes of the N64 Zeldas, while putting re-plays of the DS entries on hold."

Hahaha, one of my buddies was convinced that December would be a "victory lap." He really thought that they would stop throwing in new twists and challenges at the very end and just have an easy victory.

Yeah, NSMB2 was very unmemorable for me, although the Coin Rush challenges and the Streetpass integration were fun. Not even sure what tech they could've been demoing: it doesn't introduce much to the series besides the increased emphasis on collecting coins, which can be satisfying at times (I love running along with

Mine is:

I would plunk down $80 for a PS4 collection in a second! I've always been fascinated by the series, but I've never actually gotten around to it, in part because I rarely have the systems it's on.

Fantastic! Thanks!

I was giddy start to finish the first time I played Skyward Sword. I knew it would get traditional Zelda backlash and some additional "motion controls aren't for REAL GAMERZ" backlash, but I'm still kind of surprised at some of the hostility.

3DS version of NSMB or of 3D Land?

I think the expectation is at least WiiU backwards compatibility for the NX, although now that I think about it I have no idea how that jives with the expectation that it will be cartridge based…

Oooh, that is quite a conundrum! I'll be excited to hear how it all turns out!

If Nintendo resists the trend console-wise (and not following trends in console development is kind of their whole thing, for better and worse), I think I'll be okay: me and milady can probably resist buying these half-step consoles just to see prettier lighting effects in a few games, but I don't think I have any

I think it also helps that Zelda is only sometimes a proper damsel, and is perhaps even more commonly either the brains behind her own rescue or an active character in the story in her own right: gives some variety to a narrative structure that is deliberately and consciously repetitive.

Can spellcasters not rest up inside of Leomund's Tiny Hut? Or does the need to maintain the spell rule that out?

I might need to throw down for that! I still have my Gamecube Mega Man anthology, but I've got enough junk hooked up to my TV without connecting my old Wii just for one game. Plus they mangled the control scheme for that collection!
