I didn't watch this movie until about 5 years ago. I enjoyed it a lot. It has a nightmarish quality to it in that the whole world is going to shit. At the same time, it's pretty over the top in its evil plot.

But, didn't the title of the movie, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, pretty much state outright that they were going to make more as the Apes did whatever the next step beyond "rising" was?
