In case anyone was curious, we've gotten confirmation on the brothers' ages. Mako is eighteen and Bolin is sixteen, which is one year younger than most of the fandom had guessed.

This week's chakra would have focused on shame and willpower. Amon certainly showed plenty of willpower, as did Korra, really (appealing to the Council, trying to win the match, going after Amon), but it doesn't fit quite as well as the past two weeks did. There are still more episodes than chakras left, though.
That was refreshing.
Mako's Katara was showing.
Yeah, Bryan always talks about how perfectly-shaped Mike's head is, and thus it is an excellent model for Aang's.
Mike diMartino, one of the show's co-creators, has a beard suspiciously similar to adult Aang's. Considering his outspoken fondness for Aang and the fact that he has dressed up as him for Halloween before, I'm almost 100% positive Aang's facial hair is an inside joke/nod to Mike. And hey, while it's not the best look…
This episode sold me on Lin Beifong. Before I appreciated her no-nonsense attitude but her intense dislike of Korra put me off. I suspected that she had been involved with Tenzin in the past, so I wasn't surprised to see that confirmed. Now that we've seen where some of her animosity comes from, though, it was great…
I called past!Tenlin/Linzin way back in episode one, so I was pretty gleeful anyway, but I cackled with laughter at the entire exchange between Tenzin and Korra on the subject. That was fantastic. Janet Varney and J.K. Simmons have the mentor-student chemistry down pat.
I'm pretty positive Hiroshi Sato and probably Asami are affiliated with the Equalists. The dialogue about mass-produced electric chi-blocking kits was way too similar to Hiroshi waxing lyrical about a widely-available Satomobile to be a coincidence. It also explains why we've gotten no character development from…
Nope. When Mike and Bryan were asked a few years ago what kind of bending Aang and Katara's kids could potentially have, their answer was airbending, waterbending, or neither. The Avatar can only pass on his or her native/genetic element, apparently.
I am now fairly certain that episodes 4-10 have a thematic focus on Korra's chakras. Last week's was about opening her root chakra by admitting her fears. This week's was about opening her water chakra, which, surprise, surprise, deals with sex and sexual guilt. Though I thought the execution was messy, Korra and the…
@ikma:disqus It was confirmed through Nick.com's Welcome to Republic City interactive game. Zuko has a character profile which mentions he is now 87, retired as Fire Lord (his daughter is the new Fire Lord), and works as something of a goodwill ambassador, traveling the world.
I think he thinks he's that good. Whether he actually is remains to be seen.
Like I said, I thought she was overly harsh. It really was more of a Snape than a McGonagall move. But I think the potential for her to be like McGonagall is there, and I have a hard time believing Toph's daughter doesn't have some hidden awesome, as prickly as she may seem on the surface.
YES. I believe someone on LiveJournal's Korra community wrote a Tarrlok version of Gaston's song, and it was hilarious. He really does give off that pushy sleazeball vibe, probably because he is a pushy sleazeball.
I think Amon wants to eventually take her out when she's in the Avatar State, since that means the end of the Avatar cycle forevermore.
He's weird.
I guess Korra never takes her mukluks off. Or her pelt. Or lets down her hair, except for parties. I know they probably didn't want to design an entirely new outfit for her nightwear, but I found it odd that Korra apparently sleeps in her clothes, shoes and all. Maybe she was too stressed out about Amon to change?
Tarrlok's skin and eye colors don't match what we've seen of Amon's.
Well, we know that she's a race car driver, so I'm not surprised that she can drive well. It's more that she's just as proficient on a motorcycle as she presumably is behind the wheel of a car. I admit it's a pretty weak point, though.
