I'm sure there will be, just as I'm sure we'll see him in Korra's time eventually since it's been confirmed he's still alive.

There was only ever a four-year age gap between members of the Gaang, whereas Jinora is seven years younger than Korra. I still really want her to join Team Avatar, but I think the dynamics might be a little odd without a time skip. As for the time skip, I could see it happening, but there are certain aspects of…
I wouldn't be surprised if Mako was 19 or even 20, but we should find out for sure in the next few weeks; Nick.com has a "Welcome to Republic City" interactive game up, and the character profiles include their ages.
I did think it was kind of strange how much emphasis Sato placed on the Fire Ferrets wearing his logo. It seemed like there was more going on than just simple corporate sponsorship. There are also some potential visual cues to Asami being an Equalist; her goggles resemble a chi blocker's and she clearly knows her way…
The "Welcome to Republic City" game on Nick.com identifies Tarrlok as a waterbender.
I did think Lin was a little harsh at the party, but a) I disapprove of gendered insults like "bitch," and b) she and Korra got off on the wrong foot, and clearly she's not easily impressed. I suspect there are backstory reasons for why Lin acts the way she does.
Yeah, I'm bothered that they're still emphasizing Bolin's crush, sweet as it is. I love that guy and I really don't want him to be heartbroken, but I have a feeling if things continue as is it isn't going to end well.
I still think Mako/Korra is fairly obvious, especially when you look at supplementary material. However, I'm surprised by how much I've grown to like the idea of Korra/Bolin, though I think his naivete would be an issue to any romantic relationship. As is, I'm feeling sorry for Bolin; I can't help but feel his crush…
Sigh. I guess this is just a consequence of Tumblr skewing young and the more intense shippers being themselves, but as a Makorra shipper, I hasten to assure you that not all of us felt that way. I'm not exactly thrilled about Mako/Asami, but I have no problems with Asami herself (other than her being a little…
Is it just me that thinks Hiroshi Sato bears an incredibly strong resemblance to Stephen Colbert?
I really liked that Tenzin was there for Korra even when Mako and Bolin weren't. He's a great character and I'm so glad Korra has him to help her through times like this. Their relationship is possibly my favorite part of this show so far.
There's an intriguing theory going around that Amon is actually the firebender that killed Mako and Bolin's parents. I'm not sure how viable it is, but I certainly don't believe the backstory he gave us at the rally last week.
That line about feeling safe with Mako seemed a little out of place. I do think there's quite a bit more to her than we're seeing.
@sarapen:disqus Her character bio on Korra's press website mentions that she's had "the best defense training money can buy" or something along those lines.
Yeah, I really felt for Korra in this episode. Poor girl didn't have anything going for her; even the party thrown in her honor was a ploy to trick her into joining the task force. Thank God for Tenzin. Well, and Naga. The moment where Naga licks Korra's hand after she wakes up from her nightmare was a sweet little…
I'm ridiculously pleased that the scarf has a backstory. Also, it's interesting that he let Korra wear it when he seems so protective of it. I wonder if he knows that she used it to take down Amon's bouncer. I guess that scarf really does keep people safe.
I was really glad to see her, but I have to admit that I don't dig her adult character design.
Ikki's constant glaring at Tarrlok at the dinner table cracked me up so much. She's precious (and yes, Tarrlok, also precocious).
Jinora joining Korra's Krew is one of my dearest wishes for this show, though I suspect it won't happen because she's so much younger than they are. Still, it feels weird to have a Team Avatar without an airbender.
Even the spambot ships Makorra, apparently.
