And it's a nice contrast to Mako, who is such a closed book. I have a feeling there's a lot more to him than we know now, especially considering his namesake.

*KORRA SPOILERS*
It may be the end of Sparky Sparky Boom Man, but it's the beginning of Sparkly Sparkly Bush Man.

And now we can definitely see what they meant! Meelo is either the cutest ugly kid or the ugliest cute kid I've ever seen.

Yup, Makorra. Koko's a little cutesy for a canonical ship name, I guess.

@avclub-e8c31e84ce8c404ef43b295d3fb396d0:disqus Considering how badly handled the Katara/Aang relationship was at the end of this season, I think there's a lot of Relationship Writing Fumble in general when it comes to ATLA. Hopefully they've ironed things out for Korra.

@avclub-143816c28946e8294f0bd6353b88ec2d:disqus I got to watch Avatar all in one go. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle the waiting this time around. Just the three week wait until April 21 is killing me!

What's really cool about this go-round is that Nickelodeon seems to have gotten over that "but she's a girl!!!!" cliche as well.

We actually know of at least two previous female Avatars, Kyoshi of the Earth Kingdom and Yangchen of the Air Nomads.

Oh, I agree. I still cringe whenever I think about that infamous Book 4 video at Comic Con. I get the impression that Mike and Bryan are very nice guys, but they were a wee bit harsh when it came to Zutara shippers.

Yup, it was mentioned in the season one finale that the moon was the first waterbender.

Lalala the end of Serenity never happened I can't hear you!

Bryan posted a small piece of Book Two storyboard with Korra and Mako in parkas on his Tumblr the other day. It seems that there may be a return to the Southern Water Tribe in Korra's future.

Seriously, that last scene was crackling with sexual tension. I know Mike and Bryan did a lot of Zutara trolling, but I have to wonder how much of Zutara's appeal was just a lot of unintentional chemistry? Because Hayden is right, they've definitely got some.

Hey, I like Quidditch! But yeah, probending was the part of the show I was least looking forward to and to my surprise I discovered I really liked it. Agreed on the focus and serialization front.

I thought it was much better than the first episode. Probending is far more interesting than I thought it would be, I really get a kick out of Tenzin and his kids, and I enjoyed meeting Bolin and Mako. Plus the pacing was more even and the storytelling a little more focused.

I love that there's a flashback to Zuko immediately following his banishment in this episode. It really shows how far he's come as a character, and how drastically his motivations have changed.

The preview was only for this weekend. If you really want to see the episodes, they're out there on the Internet (just do some digging), but you'll have to wait until April 14 if you want to see them legally.

…but I like Quidditch.

Apparently the homeless guy's new fandom nickname is Sparkly Sparkly Bush Man, which amuses me more than it ought to.
