Bettie Serveert's cover is much better than the original.

"Would you like to hear about the cans, Jimmy?"

"He doesn't speak your language, dickweed!"

Honk if you love Eegah!

Remarkably, out of all the acts on that disc, R. Kelly is the only one still sexing up the world.

I saw Bland drumming for Westerberg years ago.  Pretty great band with him on drums and Tommy Keene on guitar.

You can always tell KLF because they're gonna rock you.  EMF is probably just gonna slip you some E.

I was hoping this was actually by My Dad Is Dead.  Sad for me but fortunately for him, this Dad still appears to be alive.

The Wally/Mort faceoff on George's show was classic bad television that Wally replayed endlessly. Good times on the ol' UHF dial.

But what are you going to do when we come to the Crunch?

I was gonna say that the girl at the beginning should've opted for Goo over this but then I realized that that album is probably older than everyone in this video and I got depressed and now I'll just pretend it's still 1990 and this whole internet thing probably isn't gonna go anywhere.

Did he pick up some trashy women on his way back?

I think Glory Of Their Times was a breath of fresh air at the time of its release because it generally focused on the utterly different world that professional baseball was at the time the interviewees played.  Reading about Sam Crawford coming up in the late 19th century when ballplayers were hardly figures of esteem

A whole bag seems like more than I could enjoy in a single sitting.  And Sandinista is no masterpiece. Could've been one hell of a single album but the sounds of a shit ton of pot and unlimited access to a studio get old after about 4 sides.

At least 1/3rd of Sandinista begs to differ.

Here's hoping that this isn't the first sign of some sort of critical reappraisal of Bush.  They were awful in 1994, they continue to be awful nearly 20 years down the line.  No amount of Albini goodwill can ever change that fact.

My brother excitedly bought Living In The Material World when it came out and I think he still sees his first listen as the greatest disappointment of his teen years.  I think perhaps he overreacted a touch.

A few different ones spring to mind.

Jackie Vernon as Frosty the Snowman?
