"We have a saying in Britain…
…it's difficult, difficult …. lemon difficult."

I just bought the second trade paperback because of this interview (I picked up the first one for cheap at a second-hand stall a while ago). It's got the "Down Amongst the Dead Men" story referenced in the interview. Look forward to reading it.

Oh crap, DT. I really like that song, and my newly-bought first trade of Doom Patrol is sitting in my room waiting for me to read it. I'm kind of intrigued now as to the context/connection (not asking for spoilers, please, just expressing my interest).

Up with this bullshit I will not put!

For shame, Waits. Copying and pasting stuff is what Twitter is founded upon.

You Have Been Watching ain't that bad. Some solid laughs.

The "twins" are played by Denzel Washington and John Travolta. Whattatwist!

Oh, and dinosaurs are awesome. One of my fondest memories of childhood are family trips to London's Natural History Museum, which has a huge collection of dinosaur skeletons, as well as some animatronic ones which were (at that age) pretty lifelike and scary, but in a cool way.

blasmo: I'd love to read a book like that. The little details in this interview about comics history were really interesting, and it's pretty astonishing to hear how badly creators got screwed over back then. (I'm sure it must still happen now, but not nearly to the same degree.)

And to think we were denied the opportunity to see Sphere II: Balls Deep…

I started reading comics about a year ago, mostly due to interesting discussions and recommendations on this site. Grant Morrison is one of the best discoveries I've made so far. I loved Arkham Asylum and Seaguy, and The Invisibles, while it kind of lost me towards the end, was a real trip. And right now, I'm just

"If that's how you treat your friends, imagine how you treat your enemies! Worse, I expect!"

Re: youngins - my friends and I were all around 12-14 when we discovered REM (Automatic, etc.) - and that was back in the late 90s. Quality translates across age.

I'm guessing Blu-Ray DVD. But considering that the D acronymises what is already an acronym, it would make more sense to name it BRDVD. I have no idea why that annoys me, but somehow it does.

Combine the two into Harry Dean Stockton - walking the earth bringing character-actor awesomeness to worthy projects and direct-to-DVD crapfests alike!

Rage of Fists
Fists Of Blood
Streets Of Fists
Rage Of Streets

Re: Rollins, He played some random tough guy/bodyguard in Heat.

I hear she's doing an adaptation of Northanger Abbey, directed by Michael Bay.

I'm not ashamed to say I thought the same thing.

UP AND AT DEM!
