Oh, I don't doubt it. I was just wishing it would arrive sooner.

But it might pave the way for a Streets Of Rage adaptation.

Shoehorning in Katrina for added "relevance"
Didn't they pull that shit in Heroes as well?

Also, shit gets real.

Police work is not about "proper action". Or shit.

Warren: That's because the drug dealers in those films are evil foreigners. I assume Bay and Simpson were patriotic enough to buy American.

Pleasantly surprised at this review. The critical consensus in the UK was that it was a middling film, but this makes me want to see it.

I've watched Chinatown, Citizen Kane, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and most of Kubrick's films knowing crucial plot details/memorable scenes, and I still enjoyed them.

Louder, angrier and with access to a time machine.

Karatloz: Speaking of professionalism, did you find it FUCKING DISTRACTING?

"Gotta do it right just like Chachi and Joanie—"

I dunno, I think the review basically sums up the appeal of both albums. Ill Communication is great fun to listen to, but Check Your Head, no matter how many times I play it, is genuinely exciting.

A Meat Lovers' Pizza can be a bit much. I'll take a Meat Sympathisers Pizza, or an Alliance of Conveience With Meat Pizza.

There will also be corn.

I can't get behind any adaptation of Edge of Darkness. The original series really is peerless. And Mel Gibson? I think we know who is going to be behind the conspiracy in this version. (SPOILER ALERT: It was the Jews wot dunnit.)

Ah, Mark Morrison. You were the voice of our generation … for about a month or so in the mid-90s.

After graduating, I worked in a university cafeteria for a couple of months. I'd just bought Madvillainy around that time, and I listened to it solidy - going to work, going home, and I'd even mouth the lyrics when I was serving food to students. So thank you, MF DOOM, for getting me through a less-than-stellar part

blasmo: That's what his Twitter feed's like as well. He's apparently a big believer in transcendental meditation, so maybe all the good-vibes pronouncements are part of that as well.

Ah, Pratchett ain't so hard. Start with the first Discworld novel. If you like it, read on in that order.

Gautreaux is really, really good, based on his novels at least. His short story collection has been passed around my family, and I'm really looking forward to reading it.
