Yep, one of the best pre-credits sequences attached to what I think is the worst Bond film of all time! (It just beats Die Another Day by a nose. Strangely enough, Die Another Day also has a great pre-credits sequence.)

That's not really a bad thing.

@avclub-1e850f6bef0bc36ca1f64e95ff1cbd2e:disqus Huh. I'd always heard it as, "…in which we're livin'," but a quick search confirms I've been hearing it incorrectly. Maybe I can make myself forget so I don't have to be distracted by that little bit of grammatical WTF.

I mostly agree with @avclub-4a51fda79bbd54b4e7327dd6559b6c4d:disqus, but I would make an exception for For Your Eyes Only, I guess, if only to have every actor represented. Aside from that, though, the Moore era is a black hole of crap.

I haven't seen it in several years, but I've always thought The Peacemaker was pretty underrated. It has some pretty solid action sequences*, a decent performance from George Clooney, and I rather liked the fact that the villain was somewhat sympathetic.

Wow! And this is a list that contains 1941!

I haven't seen it, but I do remember that when I went to work at a video store in Northwest Ohio on September 11, 2001, there were a lot of customers who came in and requested that movie. It made me very uneasy.

The 1931 version with Friderich March was made by Paramount, and the 1941 version with Spencer Tracy was made by MGM. As of a few years ago, Warner Bros. owned the DVD rights to both films.
