I don't read alot of comics anymore but my brother recently gifted me the entire run of Gotham Central, which I really loved. Is Fatale the next logical place for me to turn if I want to read more Brubaker or is there something else more essential that y'all would recommend?
But they've had primers for, say, Steven King and the like on here before, right? The obscure stuff, for sure, usually gets a Gateway to Geekery, I thought.
My crowd, in suburban Houston, had a few people who clapped an applause as the credits rolled …. which I've never seen at any of the theaters out there (I've seen that at some of the art house theaters in downtown and so forth).

The sudden and emphatic "more like Niggales!" line in response to the Waltz's idea of pitching Eskimo Joe as a Black Hercules left me in stitches I was LOLing so hard.

Yeah, from what I've heard, my understanding is that Ray's son and family have been difficult to deal with in terms of getting his movies a wider distribution outside of India. Criterion did put The Music Room out last year.

You've had a great year. And, yes, 12 Angry Men is really really great stuff. I think I had a similar reaction to it when I saw it for the first time.

I got around to watching Freaks and Geeks in 2011 finally and I was like, my goodness, why didn't I watch this sooner! It's pretty flawless stuff.

I found The Corrections, which I also read just this past year, very difficult to get through with all the grief and angst and so forth. There was very little to break all that up for me, not much of a respite. And perhaps that's part of the point? I dunno. You obviously dug it and I'd love to hear your two cents…
