Totally agree with you on the stop-listening-before-I-can-really-hear-it-thing.  I'm the same way.  This is especially true for stuff that trends toward that wall_of_sound aesthetic, where I need to listen to it several times to be able to make any sense of the composition.

I have about 30-40 hrs of drive time coming up fast next week (I am moving), so I'll be listening to lots and lots of music.  I've never really given these guys a chance and this seems as good as time as any.  So, where's a good place in their catalog to start?  Thanks!
