Ah gotcha.  So I haven't seen the first season.  Was it better edited to bring out the human story or whatever in a more relatable way?  Or do you just think the singer(s) from that season were more talented or a better fit for the kind of stuff you like?

Chris Mann has some serious fan support.  The guy's not unlikeable but I'm with you - he just doesn't do it for me.  That said, his performance last night was my favorite of his so far as he actually looked a little bit more engaged.

Who were you rooting for before that got cut loose?

I agree that Lindsey doesn't have a strong voice per se.  In view of that, it is remarkable that she's made it that far.  Still, I appreciate her desire to at least change things up.  Neither her nor Jamar have done a by-the-numbers song yet, from what I can remember.  She's not as strong a performer as he is but she

I really have no idea who this is aside from the fact that I somehow got B.o.B's "Play the Guitar" feat. Andre3000 on my iPod and it's pretty nice.

Quite the battle axe, that one.

Are you saying his equipment gathers dust?

Agree. The kid from About A Boy.  Now dating Jennifer Lawrence. Not too bad.  Also, Neville from the Harry Potter movies.  Dude has cleaned up.

Now that I actually think about it (it's 3am here!), it probably has to do with her conflicted ideals, as @avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus is hinting at.  But I totally didn't get that during the scene and it only makes sense in view of her banquet conversation with her father.

Megan seemed sad in the scene where she left the office celebration and ran into Peggy.  Is it just a spillover from having to deal with her parents?   Or is she unsatisfied in some way by the Heinz thing?  She seemed willing to let Don have the credit and even seemed self-conscious about claiming it in front of Stan

I really enjoyed the vocal range Jamar showed in the Battle Rounds singing "I Want to Know What Love Is" … he clearly has the chops to make that quiet-loud dynamic work … and that is so much more impressive than him rocking out in a kinda one-note way to "Are You GOnna Go My Way?" THe kid is good though and I've

I wonder about the gender and racial demographics of this site's readership.    Not because it matters but because in my head I feel that this is like my english class from senior year of high school.

Is it really that shocking that when there's three ppl and two of them are girls and one of them's a guy, it's the guy that gets through via the popular vote?  Think about who the voting audience is.  It certainly doesn't surprise me.  It's not hate, baby, it's teen chemistry or something.  Particularly when one of

I'm the paterfamilias!

The coaches did a better job last night than last week's coaches.
America is going to save Jamar (I agree) and probably Tony (I don't agree) right?

I dig this song.  That is all.

You let a dog fly your plane.  I'm not listening to you.

That sounds like something that would have fit nicely in a scene from Dead Man.

@KThrace:disqus Thanks.  It was a great scene, I was just … tired and a bit mystified by it I guess.  As someone else pointed out, I really liked how Ginsberg was shot via reflection.
