S'all good as long as it's in an obsolete vernacular.

I wish she was a Victorian lady.

Perhaps I'm needlessly harsh in this, but geez I cringe every time Carl opens his mouth.  His dialog with Lori, which Lori cites as an example of Carl becoming emotionally cold … I get what the show was trying to do there but it just came off awkward.  I don't know if it's the kid's mechanical delivery of the dialog

I remember loving Texeira's art for the first 20something issues.  After that, it seemed to fall off.  Not sure if it was still him then.  But what do I know, I was like 12yo.

He should get back at Marvel by creating a similar-themed character.  For example, Roast Rider: a 10 lb bird that stewed in the hell-fire, along with a satanic medley of potatoes and onions, garlic and rosemary, only to find itself damned to patrol the hwys by night!

Yep.  A younger and more buxom version of the still attractive lady she is today.

She's off my list cuz I'd feel wierd taking her out for sushi.

The jumpsuit was great becuz there was always the possibility that the jumpsuit was all she was wearing.

She was pretty hawt AND sweet in Reality Bytes.

Despite having seen both, I used to confuse the two all the time.

Definitely seemed like the Grammys were what introduced AF to the mainstream last year.  I mean, yes, I know: they have been around for a while, critical success, etc.  Still, the majority of ppl I know had never heard of them prior to that performance.  ANd in the weeks/months following the show, it seemed like alot

Is the notion of having a mentor, or even more abstractly someone who looked out for you, that alien to you?  To the extent that you can't fathom that somone might have some perhaps profound sense of gratitude toward that person?  Or are you, in your apparent disgust/rage, overstating it all just a bit?  And, I'm sure

I'll watch your new film.  But only if the filmic language is akin to an obsolete vernacular.

I wish I was some of those things as some of them sound plenty exciting!  But, no.  I work in patent prosecution, which I actually enjoy.  Basically, I'm a glorified tech writer tasked with describing inventions and advocating their patentability.  The job requires you to crank and stay busy responsive to

Are Ed's tears like those of a phoenix in that they have healing properties?

Was he blaming Beverley personally?  I didn't read it that way.  My sense is that he was thinking, "okay, there's four of us now, so all four of us are finalists."  He thought he had made it.  Instead, insert the returning chef and now you have five who have to fight through one more stage to even reach the finals.

Really enjoyed the episode.  Being confronted with your mentors here somehow seemed even more powerful than being confronted with your family (as they did in the recent run of Top Chef All-Stars).  I am not a chef but have spent some time paying my dues in a fairly competitive line of work that likewise values

It's called Top Chef not Top Scallops Personality.

Great thread or greatest thread?

It's the best part of the movie, I think.
