I don't Boll on Shabbos.

You're out of your damn mind if you don't think John Boorman's made great films. Point Blank, Hell In The Pacific, and Deliverance are all great films.

John Boorman anyone?
I can think of no director with a greater disparity between best and worst work. This dude made 'Point Blank'… and 'Zardoz'.

Furry Vengeance
If I had a vagina, that's what I'd call it.

I'm gonna go ahead and nominate 'The Gay Bed & Breakfast Of Terror'. For serious.

I'd agree that 'Aguirre' seems like the logical entry point but I think a case can be made for 'Stroszek' as well. A lot has made about how bleak 'Stroszek' is but I think there are also fleeting glimpses of beauty and dark comedy in there as well. It's a TRULY unforgettable film and is a kind of consummate example

Totally… And "Energy Flash", "Unfinished Sympathy" and "Papua New Guinea" would round out the remainder of the film's pivotal numbers. Who'd play the Gene Kelly character?

Q: "How many hipsters does it take to screw in a lightbulb?"

'Dude, Where's My Car?' was really just a low-rent knock-off of 'Wild Strawberries'.

I realize entirely that British rap off-shoots tend to be very polarizing (and frankly, very misunderstood) on these shores and I fully expect to be widely disagreed with for this choice but for my money I'd rate Durrty Goodz as one of the most unique, exciting, under-exposed and under-appreciated young rap voices

I love Dark City. And yeah, I remember watching the Siskel & Ebert year end special for the year (1998 I believe) that Ebert voted Dark City as his favorite of the year. I remember it because Siskel picked Babe 2: Pig In The City and I always thought that was a hilarious juxtaposition of two films.

Two in the goo, one in the poo.

Re: Dick Rockhard in "First Name: Cumming"

For the purpose of carrying the conversation forward…
I'll just throw this out there:

NASVP: New Age Smurf Vs. Predator: Avatar

Hmmm…
I might have missed it but I didn't see one single, solitary mention, by any of the writers, of Bibio's 'Ambivalence Avenue'. Very odd, says me. I do realize it was a release that flew below most peoples' radars but it did come out on Warp (meaning it can't be considered THAT underground) and should surely be

Best R. Kelly musical moments
My vote's for the "Customer" remix. Every couplet in that song is hand-delivered from the Gods of ridiculousness.

You know the black man was the first sensitive man, long before Alan Alda.

@Julie Delpys Lipstick: One of my favorite scenes in the movie…
