Actually, I wrote it.
My girlfriend made a song out of the titles of the first four episodes of Angel. City of Lonely Hearts, In the Dark I Fall to Pieces. The first part is to the tune of "Owner of a Lonely Heart" but the second part is all smoky and low.

John Romero is going to make you his bitch. Suck it down.

The trailer…
"Use your Bozan Darts!" over and over again.

A Gentlemen's F
At least one of these paragraphs is just a run-on sentence and the rest seem like they could and should be compiled together to form a coherent thought. Instead it comes off as being nothing more than a series of blurbs and segues, and most aren't even about the book supposedly reviewed.

"It's pathetic and cliche. You probably have a killer shrine on your wall."
This movie also has the earliest example of the "stalker wall" or "serial killer's shrine," or as its known in my house, "the crazy wall."

Topher
…does not come across like Xander. He's Warren.

Toby Huss…
…isn't just a "familiar character actor." For a certain generation of people, he is and always will be the brightest star in the nostalgic, childhood star: He is Artie, The Strongest Man In The World.

So it was a bad joke…
I wasn't trolling, or anything. In fact, many people cite the Lion King as being based on Hamlet. So was was my Hakuna Matata post deleted? Because it led to no discussion?

The Road To All Ills Is Thinking You've Started
I always felt one of the most beautiful aspects of Buffy (and one of the most irritating in slow viewing), is that the characters never really grow up. Or change their world-views. Buffy will continue to make the same mistakes for the rest of the show, as will Willow

SCTV: Bigger Than Peanuts
It's been a while since I watched Studio 90, and it was because I rented it from my local library (thank you, Carnegie!), and longer still since I suggested this, along with the early SNL and Buffy in that "Give us shows to cover during the writers' strike" plea that was subsequently deleted

My Druthers
For everyone the AV Club is inclined to interview for a Random Rules, this series? feature? musings? Hank Kingsley newsletter? should probably be handed out beforehand.

Goodnight, Pa
No mention of John-Boy Walton?

Solid Door State
A slight derivation of the "terrific Beth-comes-in-and-closes-the-blinds gags" starts happening starting in the second season where someone will come in to talk to Dave and leave his door open, through which, the viewer can see Beth sitting at her desk and listening to everything. Though, its its a

On Buffy (Possibly) Being A Vampire Come S2
Mr. Noel, were you slyly commenting on one of Buffy's (and Joss') first expository remarks on the nature of Whedon vampires from the first episode or was it just a gaffe?

Is it too late to "well played, sir" myself?

If this were a Buffy episode, than you've just summoned Z0DIAC M0THERFUCKER, so thanks.

Adventures of the Buffy Famil(es)y
I don't think its been commented on before, not even with the normal internet responses of jeers, leers, or "good job, sir," so I'd like to bring up Noel's aversion to The Master as the (is this a spoiler?) Big Bad.

"He HAS to call me!"
Is anyone else a little confused by why both Buffy and Cordelia are so attracted to James Spader? It couldn't have been for Crash, right? I mean, what the fuck was he up to then?

I always thought it was hilarious when the whole "pack" is walking up the stairs (slow-mo, of course) to the school and that terrible, terrible song is blaring. My roommate always used to sing it: "I'LL BUY IT! I'LL BUY IT! I'LL BUY IT!"
