I only ever saw that happen in "The Nutty Professor".

I could only shake my head in disbelief with each successive snap that RGIII was allowed to go out behind center. Everyone in the stadium - and watching at home - could see how little of a run threat he was. How exactly did the coaching staff plan to move the chains when the Seattle D knows the cat's out of the bag?…
In an all honesty, I don't know how well I can pass judgment on Danes' acting in S2 because there was a steep drop in her character's complexity from last season that led to fewer opportunities for her to express the nuance and conflict I enjoyed in S1. Where before I could sense internal tension between her…
Victor tried to play by different rules than everyone else at dinner, and Sydney gets scolded for calling him out on it. I think she was justified in needling Victor, and she got to say things to him that her parents wish they could say. Pushing him to a breaking point will probably be a net plus for all concerned…
How is the recovery by the creator's wife any assurance for the well-being of the fictional wife?
I blame TVDW for serving me the Claire Danes kool-aid early in season 2. The rest of the season - from "Q&A" onward - made me feel embarrassed for having drunk the goblet. Fool me once.
A waste of time for the most part. No character or plot development, just an annoying song.

@avclub-35a00215eb3d273078fbdeeadb3dfe10:disqus It just feels like a cheat to start with another band's greatest hit when writing a song. Personally, I think the most you can credibly do is borrow another band's distinctive mood/sound in a holistic sense while the song's actual hook has to be original.
"Sprawl II"…

It's a pleasant song, but whenever I listen to it, I can't get over the wholesale ripoff of the "Heart of Glass" beat and a good portion of its vocal melody and phrasing. It makes me uncomfortable that the band would put give such a creatively bankrupt song centerpiece status on the album.

@avclub-6b8aa777ed70e7f15a45947a0f0c5986:disqus I'm tired of the Baseball HoF and the way it manages its legacy and that of the sport itself. I like the idea of enshrining stars from bygone eras and leagues who weren't fortunate enough to leave behind recorded performances or statistics that can be adequately…

It's like when Putin's term as Prime Minister ended and everyone was sad, but the silver lining was that he came back as President. Talent doesn't just leave the building, guys.

I don't understand what value this article has other than to point out that things we know and love are ending in the face of an uncertain future filled with things we don't know and don't love… because they don't exist yet. That's the human condition, not a pop culture phenomenon.
