Is it just me, or has every new trailer posted on this site lately been coupled with very dismissive commentary? I'm not saying this movie is any good (I haven't seen it), but it seems like the default setting for talking about every trailer is, "This movie looks shitty, right?"

Yeah, basically Divine Fits was half of the best Spoon album put out this decade. And the other half is pretty damn good, even if I'm not as big a fan of that other voice.

Telefono is fine, but it pretty much always just sounded like a band trying to ape Pavement. They didn't really find their Spoon-sound until later albums.

The Divine Fits album was one of my favorites of that year, and I still listen to it regularly. "Shivers" (which is a cover, I realize) is one of my favorite Britt vocal performances ever.

Spoon are on my top 5 bands I've never seen live list, so this is good news. Good news, indeed.

Absolutely love the movie and soundtrack, too. It may not be true, but I remember reading that Aronofsky is an atheist and that he was making a scientific spiritual movie, which may be why it resonated with me so much.

That's always been my goal.
