I like the other fanwanks, but it's pretty clear the Dominion has alot more assets then just that fleet. Just like when the US sends a carrier group, it's a significant expenditure of a military resource, but there's alot more where that came from. Plus the fact that the Dominion can mass produce soldiers and ships.
Right. It's a balance. They need experienced commanders who can think strategically, but not think too much.

I don;t think in Dukat's mind he's selling out Cardassia. I think he has convinced himself that this is in Cardassia's best interest, which is usually how most dictators think.
Well, if you really want to get into timeline stuff, Dukat would have to have to have known that martok was a Founder and helped initiate the Klingon war. But Dukat is just arrogant enough to think he can handle the Dominion.
