Although that was a plot point I found a bit unbelievable.  The station was in orbit around Bajor, a major part of the Alliance.  How the heck would the rebels being able to hold it for any length of time?

Pretty sure the town is totally isolated by the time shits really hits the fan by "weird weather phenomenon."  And stuff gets sucked into the town, but once your'e there, you can't leave, only go further down the spiral (there's a terrifying part where the main characters try to escape.)
