mbs- imagine if ole' Marky Mark had been cast in Lady. Nothing could have saved The Happening, but Whalberg's "acting" made it hilarious, to me.

I think the reason Ratatouille seemed tepid is because it's sort of a coming of age movie and has to hit all the family split/acceptance notes. I think it's almost more touching if you read it as a coming out story about a male mouse who has a crush on a young boy who has a crush on a domineering lady. Now that's a…
Doritos Late Night
Tacos After Midnight!
It's great, but my Mom always made Ortega tacos with cheddar and lettuce and tomato before midnight.
Holy christ! My Pandora station with Gravy Train!!! and LCD Soundsystem as the sounds like just decided to play Kids right when I was reading this. I mean, it's appropriate, but can Pandora read what I'm reading?
I was bored by Jens Lenkman at Pitchfork for similar reasons. Even glitter scarves couldn't save him from being one sad Nordic boy with a keyboard.
Meet ya' at the Bum Boat Fidel.
Hi and Lois is better than Revolutionary Road, and covers much of the same topics. Then again, so is Hocus Focus.
Wrong, AJGLU 3000 has a concept of boobs, and it may be incorrect, but it is all consuming.
What I'm saying is, Hagar the Horrible fails in the dong department.
Ahoy! That makes more sense. Merci.
Karatloz, exactly what did Melville "pare down to the raw nerve"? I'm just wondering what the heck you meant by that. 10 pages of describing the different properties of spermacetti is interesting as hell, but not what I'd call "raw nerve".
After the fedora craze dies out everyone can make Jughead (or Goober, if you're so inclined) hats out of the old ones!
Just sayin, a bee can't sting you multiple times, as its innards rip out with the stinger.
I particularly missed the backstory on the spider forest. Why were those tarantulas so industrious? Were they driven to be the best by maniacal belt wielding parents? If only the movie would have really gotten into their heads.
I don't know about his tech savvy, but he sure does look a lot like Tim Conway, leading me to imagine Dorf on Ultraviolence.
Cormac
Cormac McCarthy often eats at the restaurant I work at. Each time I struggle not to tell him how I think that Michael Berryman (the bald guy from The Hills Have Eyes) should play The Judge. I doubt that he knows about The Hills Have Eyes or really cares about the movie. He may be interested in this-a-here week…
Ilsa
"Pleasured to death"? Shit… Ilsa: Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks features a pleasure execution!
Not having been to CBGB, that makes me feel pretty good. Fireside bowl was the best.
Darkstar with less weed and more "creeping existential dread," that is.
Everybody keeps comparing it to 2001, but it's tone sounds more like Darkstar.
