Oh man, that ad made me so happy! Last year my old high school put on a
production of "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and I
got to play sax in the pit orchestra. It gave me a weird, stupid, thrill
to see the cast members of my beloved NBC comedies (but mostly
Community) singing and dancing to that

I'd say, even with the obsession with baboo and the general drunkenness, that archer was competent tonight. He pointed out, rightfully so, that he seems to be the only person who counts how many bullets a gun has fired so he knows whether or not they're empty.

Is this going to be a monthly feature? Because it should be.

33! I can deal with that. Awesome quiz, Braun!

The band The 88 did Community's theme song. EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED.

That link is amazing.

Somebody posted this on reddit, apparently it's an interview with the creator of leverage about the most recent episode-

I think I'll be kicked out the A.V. Club for this, but I almost wish that the show had ended after season 2. That last scene with Leslie and Mark sitting on the lot was just so perfect. I don't know, season 3 was still spectacular, but I really think that would have been a tremendous last scene for the series to go

I love The Hold Steady but have never heard Lifter Puller. Could anybody give me a gateway to geekery on them? I posted this on the album review thread but nobody replied, here seemed like a good a place as any to ask.

Really good review. I feel like this episode is incredibly underrated.

I just listened to that commentary a couple days ago! It's so funny hearing them talk about the future of the show with the lens that we have now.

I have and love the entire Hold Steady discography, but I have yet to dive into Lifter Puller. Where's the best place to start?

"She said 'the theme of this party's the industrial age, and you came in dressed like a train wreck.'"

Lame. Glad I didn't tune in. Thanks for the info!

Ok, I'll bite. I've heard a couple reviewers mentioning an interesting plot development at the end of the pilot that could potentially make it a worthwhile show, but I'm too lazy to watch the episode. Anyone who's seen it care to fill me in?

Yup. Quality wise, there are way better shows. Breaking Bad is incredible, and The Wire is nearly perfect. I'm only half way through Mad Men's first season at the moment, so I can't really judge that yet. But Lost was on the last six years before I went off to college, and every week, I'd watch it live with my parents

LOST is my favorite show ever, probably, and that has as much to do with all the theorizing and analyzing that I did online with others in between episodes and seasons as it does with the seasons itself. LOST probably works better when marathoned, as a lot of the little flaws tend to fade into the background and don't

The Hold Steady is my favorite band at the moment, and I like what I've heard so far of Craig Finn's solo album. Finn seems like an articulate, interesting guy. Really good interview, I'm a little surprised by all the negative comments.

I don't comment often, but I love Scrubs and read these reviews every week. Here's hoping they continue on past the first season.

He is LITERALLY untouchable.
