Didn't they talk in the commentary for Advanced Criminal Law about how they were going to have a subplot where Duncan was working on an article about women being genetically born to leave? This show is so awesome that it calls back to things that DIDN'T EVEN HAPPEN.

I love wise Pierce! His speech in Beginner's Pottery about luck- "Don't need it, never had it"- is one of my favorite moments of the entire series.

I only caught it because I had subtitles on!

Holy shit! You catch new stuff every viewing. I just popped in "Accounting for Lawyers" and there is a scene in which Pierce challenges Alan (Jeff's lawyer buddy) to find a way to cuttingly insult him. Alan replies simply, "you're bald" which prompts Pierce to start crying. As he sobs, he mutters out, "Father, I have

Only 9 comments and already my face is red for being immediately excited at the prospect of a free new shins song. Don't care. Signing up for email list anyways.

Nice! An ex girlfriend messaged me on facebook the other day, saying she had checked out community because of me and is now obsessed with it. And here I was about to consider that relationship a failure!

I'm in the minority, but I really love Heaven is Whenever. It's got such a mood to it that it's hard for me at least not to get swept up by it. "The Weekenders" "Heaven is Whenever" "Hurricane J" and "A Slight Discomfort" are all excellent songs.

I absolutely love the conversation between Jeff and Pierce at the end of
that episode, it's so sweet and funny. Also, "Whistle for the Choir" is a
really, REALLY great song and it plays very well in that final scene. I've
always thought The Fratellis were underrated.

I got Spaced: The Complete Series, the first season of Party Down, a The Hold Steady shirt, and a bunch of books (On the Road, House of Leaves, God is Dead, Mother Night and Oracle Night). So pysched! I don't go back to the dorms again until the 17th, so I plan on doing a lot of reading these next few weeks!

Excellent review Scrawler!
One random thing I noticed about this episode, Chang says at one point during his introductory speech, "YA BIT?" Which he says again in a way more literal context in "Epidemiology"

I really like Cougar Town, and greatly prefer it to Modern Family, which it's frequently paired with. It's a show that trades on the likeability of its characters and the enjoyment that stems from seeing them interact. One of the writer's on AV Club calls it a "hangout sitcom" and that's basically what it is.

NBC did a promotion before it ran that if you liked it on facebook, you could watch it early online. So i liked it. Thought it was ok and watched consecutively as it got better and better. I fell in love when Comparative Religions aired.

I've converted at least 5 friends at this point. Thank you DVD sets.

There were a few that I recall!

So, my best friend is the kind of guy who loves TV but only watches it on DVD. I loaned him the first season of Community at the beginning of the summer and he loved it the crap out of it. As such, we vowed to watch the second season together when the DVD came out. Both of us went off to college this year, so we

I think Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas is my favorite episode of television period.

Oh man, that's terrible. Good luck on the final. I have mine next week and between you and me, they are going to kick my ass.

So, I haven't watched the episode yet, but it's 2 in the morning, and i'm just about done with my 20th century fiction final essay on meta-fiction, which is pretty much a community essay. Anywho's, I am very tired and didn't know where else to share this.

Aw, c'mon! The little sister is obnoxious and out of place but 500 Days of Summer is a pretty good movie!
