The syfy remake of "Being Human" looks like the most pointless thing ever. It does not look like it has much of a chance of being 1/10 as good as the original. Which was decent but not fantastic in the first place.

It was hyped pretty heavily at San Diego Comic Con last summer. I've still got a "Britt Reid's Garage" T shirt around here somewhere.

The American top gear BLOWS. A key to the real show is based on the chemistry of the presenters and the 3 generic douchebags on the new version just don't cut it.

It's a good show. Community is better, 30 Rock is most of the time, and Always Sunny in Philadelphia is about the same. Other than that it beats most of the rest of the sitcoms out there pretty easily. (including the Office and Parks and Rec).

I worked for a short time at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and that film was much appreciated by the people who worked there. I remember playing "spot Lazlo" in the cafeteria.

I assumed that there was some clue in the book and that he recognized it a something that didn't fit with the rest of the mild librarian's reading list. If it was a joke I don't see any humor there.

I know people complain about ATT a lot, but I have not had much problem with it. I switched from Verizon so I could get an iphone and my service improved. The only time I've not been able to get service is when I'm somewhere like a football game or a concert where tons of people are using iphones.

IFC used to be good. Now I can't stand to watch it because of all the commercials.

That's just pure good news. Yay!

They throw in enough Pasadena references to make it clear that they work at JPL/Cal Tech. The deal at JPL is that everybody's is an employee of Cal Tech but the money for any physical object (from paper clip to building) comes directly from NASA.

No, American Psycho was shit.

Manhola broke my heart when she left the LA Times.

Ms Adequate: I think you typed that backwards. In this country obesity is linked to income and the poorer people are the more likely they are to be fat.

I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer

Nothing. I'm just his non-union Mexican equivalent.

They provide a nice intro to the current season

I'd say _Shopgirl_ is also very solid without the fame of the author factored in.

When I got my first CD burner the very first thing I did with it was burn a copy of Synchronicity without that godawful "Mother" song on it.

I'm a big fan of Dexter and just couldn't get into Breaking Bad, I'd say give it a pass.
