they're both great, the West movie is so fun

but that's what makes it great! it's an outsider fairytale

'simplistic era of filmmaking'? you could argue that an era that demands boring 'realism' in its superhero movies is more simplistic

yes god forbid a comic book movie go 'over the top'

yeah exactly, it's a stylized gothic fairytale that ages better

that's such a great line

i'd rather live in the George Miller JLA universe, since the Dark Knight inspired so much badness

1 - 4 are amazing, 5 - 7 aren't great but they are weird and fun

yeah the scene in Tull is the first time we really see what Roland is captable of, for good and ill

Why is Jake convincing Roland to save The Tower? that's liiterally his main motivation

hey i'm gonna toss in a plug for Radio Free Mid-World. it's a great Dark Tower podcast by the guys at Duckfeed.tv, who do the Dark Souls podcast Bonfireside Chat… it's really fun/funny

yeah i don't expect it to be good, but i'll be there opening night. if i get maybe 30 minutes of good Idris as Roland and Matt as Flagg, I'll be happy… i've loved these characters my whole life

that sharehouse in Knock Knock is better than most places i've lived in, with smaller bugs too

the UK already has a government healthcare system, like the rest of the world.. nobody involved in Doctor Who would consider that a new thing

i haven't seen American Gods yet, but Neil Gaiman's written, what, 3 episodes of Doctor Who already?

"Imagine if the show did an episode where a villain harnessed the public's fear of constant alien attacks into a justification for a oppressive regime?"

yeah i think it was inspired by those articles about how dictatorships make the most horrendous things 'normal'

it's literally a plot point from Rick & Morty

we don't need a gritty Doctor Who now that Rick & Morty exists. Rick Sanchez can be the dark Doctor, the real Doctor Who can be optimistic
