i tried playing Horizon Zero Dawn after Nier Automata, and I just couldn't care about it's posthuman world when Nier did it so much better.

Nier Automata and Everything are my top games of the year. They're both beautiful works of art -the end of Ending C/D and all of Ending E in Nier Automata belong in a museum. They both explicitly engage with philosophy, though Nier naming characters after philosphers is somehow more subtle than Everything's Alan Watts…
