Teenage Dirtbag is great

i love that song… Outta My Head was great too

it's hard explaining that 'the Stacey's Mom band' is one of your favorite bands, but i've loved them since their first album. Radiation Vibe… that was a classic

Video Killed the Radio Star
Sunglasses At Night
My Own Worst Enemy

Flagpole Sitta is also the theme song to Peep Show

i've had No Rain stuck in my head all day

ironically, i was going to say Stacey's Mom 'cause it was an actual hit for the super-underrated Fountains of Wayne, but That Thing You Do is a better song by them

Kotaku is fine games journalism

this needs more Duckfeed.tv - Days of Future Cast (x-men animated series), Radio Free Mid-World (dark tower), etc

her Scandals of Classic Hollywood columns are amazing

he just needs to hang out with Craig Ferguson

ironically, Barenaked Ladies wrote an awesome song about Brian Wilson, called Brian Wilson, that talks about his depression and has the line 'Doctor Landry tell me you're not just a pedagogue', which is pretty cool

i liked the remake with Daredevil

Oldboy probably had the most influence of any movie on the list just for the hallway scene

Ong Bak is great, so great. what was the one where Tony Jaa went to Australia? The Protector?

I love that movie so much, it's gorgeous

ohhh… Andrew Leavold, who made the amazing documentery The Search For Weng Weng about a Filipino midget superspy, also talked about Cleo Wong. they featured in the Australian documentary MACHETE MAIDENS UNLEASHED: http://www.abc.net.au/arts/…

i'm gonna recomend The Man From Hong Kong, a Brian Trenchard Smith Australian action classic i saw last week while the cast and crew told stories of almost dying from doing their stunts… it totally inspired Kill Bill
it's also got Toecutter in it. and George Lazenby. and a fight with Sammon Hung on Ularu

wait, Kill Bill 1, Ong Bak, Oldboy and Zatoichi came out the same year? that's insane, all those movies are awesome. I love Zatoichi and Ong Bak, but the Oldboy hallway fight must be one of the most influential action scenes

oh and i saw Goke, Body Snatcher from Hell, where that technicolor sunset comes from. awesome little proto LOST Japanese flick
