I have decided that her first name is "Sipp" and refuse to be convinced otherwise.

I like sadsack British folk ballads, so when I heard Cold Blows the Wind for the first time I thought "wow, this is awesome, these guys just completely took the piss out of this style while writing a perfect example of it." Then a while later I looked it up, and it's an actual British folk song that might date as far…
Dang.
If you've got time to listen to The Seer, you've got
time to watch this. It's shorter than the title track, for goodness
sake.

Laura Dern in the first few scenes of Citizen Ruth. Homeless, pregnant, and imprisoned for huffing patio sealant is not a good place to be.

I was SO HAPPY when that movie ended… but in a good way. It's like a three-hour anxiety attack, but then it's got that beautiful, cathartic ending which feels like the movie's congratulating you and giving you a warm hug for making it all the way through. One of the best moviegoing experiences I've had.
I'm trying to decide if In the Realm of the Senses is creepier as a date movie if it's the guy or the girl who suggests it.
I first read that as "Is it still screaming on Netflix?", which seems appropriate.
Monica Rambeau is pissed at not being included in this Inventory. Hey, did you know she used to be in the Avengers?
I think a lot of people have similar initial reactions to The Big Lebowski (at least I did), and it's largely because of the whole shaggy-dog thing. First time through, you're trying to figure out what's going on and why; after that, your attention's free to focus more on the idiosyncratic jokes and mood and such.
She's shrunken down in Finn's pocket. Farting.
Saw this while working at the Philadelphia Film Festival, and it was easily the worst of the 15+ I saw there. The one "original" thing about it is the way it adds a Yellow Peril tinge to its cardboard characters and idiot-plot.
The motion has already been registered here: http://catandgirl.com/?p=3521 but you are more than welcome to second it.
I'm not making the Doctor anything! You're on, aren't you?
Gary X, it's reactions like yours automatically dismissing MLP as "ridiculously pansy shit" that have fueled the whole rabid-internet-fanbase thing. The fact that the show's both cutesy and high-quality lets the fans get straightforward enjoyment from a fun cartoon AND feel superior to people like you who are worried…

What really bugged me about the end of Source Code was that they *had* a great, bittersweet ending with that freeze frame, but then undermined it by going "nope lol they go hang out at the Bean and live happily ever after."
Or Tristana!
