On what planet does Diane Lane look anything like Hillary Clinton?

@avclub-a171d9b078d8fd668b699188db001042:disqus The thing about Thomas killing Combo didn't bother me, because I imagine that the criminal underbelly in Albuquerque isn't that huge, so it isn't that odd they would cross paths.

I hate cops too (I like to say "the only good cop is a dead cop"), but I think that Hanks knows that spouses can't be compelled to testify, he doesn't think Skyler knows that. I also don't think he wants her to testify, he just wants to get more evidence so that he can arrest Walt, which he currently doesn't have.

I'd love to move to Belize, but it's too expensive. Maybe this will make the cost-of-living decrease?

I loved, loved, LOVED the detail of Lydia wearing Loubintons.

I don't care if Woody Allen was Soon-Yi's dad or not, it's just fucking creepy to bang someone after banging their mom.

I couldn't finish Where Men Win Glory after reading the unnecessary and untrue stuff about how my future husband Ralph Nader destroyed America.

@avclub-734ffb84cfa214922893511fae356b45:disqus You heard it "both ways?" I looked up Nugent on both Wikipedia and his own site. There is no mention of him even attending college. According to some sources he was expelled from high school and never graduated. So I doubt he got a student deferment.

She should hit Mel up for the money to make it since they're BFFs.

Lots of child molesters are stunted man-children.

@avclub-63310851ee32f9c4c295c3d3f6431448:disqus Yup. I remember the big deal when it was released.

I agree. As someone who suffers from PTSD as a result of child abuse, the scene with Laura staring at the clock while in class is the captures PTSD better than anything I've ever seen or read.

I liked it too, but I've had a crush on Brad Pitt since I was 11.

I think they come across as more "loud and shouty" today than when it was written as women's rights have been eroded more and more. :(

I've never read On Writing (I'm not much of a King fan), but the first chapter of Stranger than Fiction by Chuck Palahniuk is a great essay about being a writer.

I gave up on the show before it ended because I always liked the supporting characters better than Ellen.

Another example; "I liked The Hunger Games better when it was called Battle Royal."

Old Joy is on Netflix Instant.

I've wonder how many people were like us.

I went to a high school where I had to wear a uniform, so I have non of these stories. Although I claimed to hate it, I secretly loved my uniform and if I had been allowed to dress freely would have worn a variation on it.
